Fibre Broadband For Warwickshire

6 June 2013 by Superfast Broadband

CSW Broadband, a partnership of eight local authorities led by Warwickshire County Council, has agreed a £14.57 million deal with BT to deliver fibre broadband to around 91% of premises of Warwickshire by spring 2016. Fibre coverage will also be extended to 92% in Coventry and 96% in Solihull.

BT is contributing £5.67 million towards the project while the CSW Broadband Project is contributing £4.45 million – of which £3 million is from Warwickshire with the balance coming from other local authorities. A further £4.45 million is from BDUK funds.

Following initial planning and survey, the CSW Broadband Project should be in a position to connect the first premises in early 2014.
